Why are flexible work practices important?

In a candidate short market where attracting and retaining good quality staff is on every employer’s agenda, workplace flexibility must be considered seriously.

 

What shape or form those policies take must be dictated by the organisation’s overall long term strategy and how they wish to brand themselves in the employment landscape.  It will also be influenced by their existing employee make up and the long term requirements of those.

Customer surveys provide an important opportunity to seek feedback from your customers and also gain insight into what is on the horizon.  However, it is surprising to see how many companies who gather large amounts of data at great expense and then fail to:

            1. Extract some of the most crucial data from them and
            2. Use the resulting data to develop strategies to improve the business.
